Reworked the machine
After neglecting this for so long, I'm finally making a post.
A really long time since my last post. But at least there's something worth posting about.
I've been meaning to update NextJS, switch to app router, get rid of that spam trap Netlify email gateway and add more features to this site for a while but it was too much of a back burner thing. The prospect of reworking it from pages to app router wasn't exactly super exciting me to do something about it. Enter Claude Code - it was very satisfying to watch it migrate everything. I even moved to Vercel.
Moving it to Vercel meant I needed a new way for the contact form to work. Claude comes through again and now it uses Web3forms. We'll see if that eases the random crypto scam email I was getting through the Netlify gateway. Maybe I just need to harden that form a bit more with a captcha.
I'm sure no one has was waiting for an update, but I'm going to make an effort to post here more as I do more with the site or about other random things.
